IPL Photofacial for Men
Clearer, Brighter Skin—Powered by Light

Dealing with sun damage, redness, or stubborn blemishes? The IPL Photofacial is a powerful skin treatment that uses intense pulsed light to break down visible discoloration, all without downtime.

Short for Intense Pulsed Light, this non-invasive photorejuvenation treatment sends broad-spectrum light deep into the skin to target sun spots, hyperpigmentation, redness from rosacea, broken capillaries, acne, and signs of aging across the face, chest, neck, and hands.

As your skin absorbs the light, it also ramps up natural collagen production—so you’re not just clearing visible damage, you’re building stronger, healthier skin from the inside out.

This is your go-to if you’ve spent a little too much time in the sun and want to hit reset.

Men's IPL Photofacial Treatments

Every IPL session at The Lads Room is quick, effective, and designed with male skin in mind—typically lasting around 20 minutes.

We use the top-of-the-line Cutera Limelight, which delivers pulses of broadband light to target sun damage, pigmentation, and redness. Each pulse feels like a light snap of a rubber band—more surprising than painful—and is well tolerated even by our most sensitive patients.

Because men’s skin tends to be thicker and more textured, IPL is especially effective at improving tone and boosting collagen. A series of 3–4 treatments spaced 2–4 weeks apart is usually ideal, followed by touch-ups every other month to maintain smooth, clear skin.

This targeted IPL treatment addresses pigmentation issues on the arms, chest, and other body areas. Whether you’re dealing with sun spots, brown patches, or broken capillaries, the Cutera Limelight works to visibly correct uneven skin tone across your body.

Got questions?

Men's IPL Photofacial FAQ's

What does the treatment feel like?

A full-face session with the Cutera Limelight takes around 20 minutes. Each pulse of light feels like a quick snap of a tiny rubber band—not exactly cozy, but most clients find it very manageable, even those with more sensitive skin.

How many treatments will I need?

We typically recommend a series of 3–4 IPL photofacials spaced 4–6 weeks apart to get the best results. After that, maintenance sessions a few times a year can help keep your skin clear, bright, and even-toned.

What to expect after IPL Photofacial.

You might see a bit of redness or swelling, and any pigment may darken at first as it rises to the surface of your skin—totally normal. That pigment will then flake off over 3–7 days, revealing clearer, smoother skin underneath.

Can IPL reduce or impact my beard growth?

Yes, it’s possible. Since IPL targets pigment in hair follicles, it may reduce growth in treated areas if the hair is dark. But no worries, we’ll carefully avoid your beard line and map the treatment to suit your look while still delivering real skin improvements.

Who should NOT get this treatment?

IPL isn’t suitable for anyone with a sunburn, deep tan, active skin infections, or tattooed makeup in the treatment area. It’s also not advised for people who are taking certain acne medications like Roaccutane.
